A BarCamp is:

• an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment.
• an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants who are the main actors of the event.

BarCamps are great vehicles by which to simply explore ideas with like minded people. TransferSummit has teamed up with the team that brought you the Apache BarCamp Oxford in 2009 and Transfer BarCamp 2010 for the next exciting installment, BarCamp Oxford 2011.

This year the BarCamp will be organised by people local to Oxford in collaboration with the Apache Software Foundation and will take place on Sunday 11 September 2011. So why not stay in Oxford for a little longer and carry on the networking for no additional cost (although it does require a free registration).
